THE CHARIOT - MERKABAH"

Portrays the throne at top the seventh palace of Paradise, each palace with its celestial inhabitants dwelling in it. The entire complex of these palaces - "Heikhalot", is called the "World of the Divine Chariot", which is the kabbalistic interpretation of the scriptural source of the Divine Chariot, in the vision of Ezekiel.

This Hikhal is inhabited by mysterious radiances, which glisten in shades of white and red, from which the "OFANIM", the wheels of the Chariot, were made; and two spirits, called "Sapphire" and "Levanah" (white). "As they intermingle a holy beast, in the form of a lion with eagle's wings, astride the wheels, is revealed, In the center of the Heikhal there is a hollow pillar through which the prayers of the righteous pass and combine with the play of spirit and radiance, thus reaching the second Heikhal." THE SECOND HEIKHAL - "ESSENCE OF THE HEAVENS - SPLENDOR"

There are two spirits in this Heikhal, one called "splendor" and the other called "Essence of the Heavens." These spirits have a whitish hue. Out of them the six - winged seraphs were formed. "In this traveling motion, a holy beast appears, with the face of an eagle, standing on four other animals, also in the form of eagles, and below them angelic seraphs in the form of snakes." HEIKHALOT, 8"1 41 The prayers of the righteous reach here from the first Heikhal, and through acceptance of the prayer, combine with the spirits and radiances. The second Haikhal emanates its strength to the planet Jupiter.

THE THIRD HEIKHAL - "VENUS - NOGAH"

This Heikhal is inhabited by a spirit called Venus- Nogah, this spirit forming two radiances, which sparkle in twenty two differfnt rays of light, paralleling the twenty two letters in Scriptures. "All the spirits and radiances taken together have the form of a lion merged with an eagle. Under this creature are four wheels with eight wings. It is here that one finds the heavenly hosts of judgment, who are dispatched to do their mission in the world". HEIKHALOT, 8"1 41 This Heikhal emanates its strength to the planet Mars.

THE FOURTH HEIKHAL - "MERIT - ZECHOT"

A spirit called Merit - Zehut dwells in this Heikhal, which serves as a supreme court of justice. Seventy radiances, shining in a circle, emanate from this spirit, and facing them emanate two more radiances, like two witnesses. The merits of man and his earthly deeds enter before these radiances and stand judgment before the seven eys of the Lord which travel over the earth and record the deeds of man. "The anges of judgment in the third Heikhal receive the wordly judgments through twelve openungs. This Heikhal is associated with the palanet of Mercury, end through it, with all the ohther heavenly bodies". HEIKHALOT, 8"1 41

HEIKHALOT, 8"1 41

THE SEVENTH HEIKHAL - "THE HOLY OF HOLIES"

This Heikhal, the "most occult of the occult," is altogether hidden from view. A curtain is drawn across covering the two "cherubs". When all the Heikhalot are joined together in a single whole, a supreme spirit awakens, the spirit of all, and illumines everything from top to bottom, kindling radiances when all is one unity. "And a supreme radiance descends to fill the Heikhalot with communion and bounty. As the prayers of the priests, the song of the levites, and the smoke of the sacrifices ascend the Heikhalot, they become joined into a single whole and single radiance." HEIKHALOT, 8"1 41
